Who We Are

Greenburgh United is Westchester’s home for youth soccer—from First Touch to elite-level play—with professional coaching, community values, and a direct pathway to the New York Red Bulls Academy. Founded in 2011 as a non-profit youth soccer club, in 2019 a new board was formed, dedicated to expanding programming and furthering the club’s mission.

GU offers soccer-for-all programs, competitive team opportunities, and a direct pathway to the New York Red Bulls Academy for elite players. As an official Club Partner of the New York Red Bulls, our top players can advance through the Red Bulls RDS (Regional Development Schools) and into the Red Bulls Academy Team Pathway.

Our Community
While based in the Town of Greenburgh—which includes Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Edgemont, Elmsford, Hartsdale, Hastings-on-Hudson, Irvington, and Tarrytown—Greenburgh United proudly welcomes players and families from all communities. Our club continues to grow and serve families across Westchester and beyond.

How We Operate
We are a stand-alone, volunteer-run, non-profit club. Our teams compete in both the Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL) and the NY EDP North Atlantic League, providing outstanding opportunities for competitive play and development.

Programs for All Skill Levels
Greenburgh United offers programs for boys and girls of all skill levels, including:

  • First Touch & Pre-Travel (ages 3–8)

  • Travel, Premier, and Elite Teams (U7–U16)

  • Development Program & Clinics

  • Summer Camps, Winter Training & School Break Sessions

  • SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness) & Goalkeeper Training

  • Adult Men’s Team launched Spring 2025

  • Adult Women’s Team launching Summer 2025

Professional Trainers
All programs are led by USSF and UEFA-certified trainers from Greenburgh United and our partners, the New York Red Bulls. Travel teams have a dedicated trainer who runs all practices and coaches games. All trainers follow the GU training philosophy and uphold our club values.

Our Culture
Greenburgh United builds culture through family and community. Parents are encouraged to participate as team managers and volunteers—but we do not allow parent coaching or training in any program. We ask that all families support our trainers, volunteers, and club operations with respect and positivity.

Team Formation Philosophy
Travel teams are formed based on player ability and placed in divisions where competition matches their level. This approach ensures the best environment for growth and development.
